Home Based Businesses: Continuous Education

Getting Started | Continuous Education | Marketing | Advertising | Resources

Working in the business world and always in a marketing environment, I knew that continuous education was going to be an important factor to building a successful home-base sewing business.

In 1995, I joined The American Home Business Association. This was another turning point in my home-base future. Over the past five years, I have done exactly what they recommended through seminars and newsletters.

For example, you do not have to quit your day job to start a home-base business. You do need to know where you are doing before you get started. You need to write a Business Plan. You can have more than one line of business specifically if they are seasonal.

You can order the Getting Started information that will assist you in writing your own Business Plan, or order the complete Business Plan package. See The Sewing Store for Home-Based Order Form. It will save you a lot of time.

Take it slow, take it part-time, keep it part-time or take it beyond pin money.
